Boredom Bliss

So I decided to surprise Matt this weekend with a night away in Newport Beach. I think I needed it more than him, but oh well! He was surprised and we had a really good time. We stayed at a really great Marriott near the bay, with super nice rooms that had recently been re-done. We felt like we were royalty! We had fun just eating out by ourselves and walking around shopping. Boring, I know, but nice for a change.
I realized that we were close to a Sprinkles Cupcakes, and considering we had never indulged in the novelty, I dragged Matt along for a taste. I felt like a little kid at his first trip to Disneyland!

The stylish bag and box that come along with the $3.25 cupcake price.

We decided on the Peanut Butter Chip and Chocolate Coconut flavors- which we shared of course! The only thing missing was some milk! Definitely one of the best cupcakes I've ever eaten!

While walking around at Fashion Island, we came upon this kids clothing store called "Peek... aren't you curious?". It not only had adorable (but pricy) kids clothes, but some of the cutest quotes plastered around the walls of the store! Matt and I had fun just reading all of the quotes, including the one outside that lured us in:
Isn't that the truth...

I found your blog because one of my interests in Disneyland and you were listed as liking Disneyland as well. I enjoyed reading all your posts especially the one where Matt purchased the 1966 Mustang it's really beautiful. I actually was in high school when when that car became so popular and always wanted one. However I didn't get my Mustang untill in my 50's I bought the 35th special edition 1999 aniversary model and I am still driving it (silver 5 speed yes Granny likes to go fast).

yummmmm Sprinkles. One of my faves but still I think those red velvet cupcakes you made can easily rival Sprinkles! :) glad you got a chance to get away. I will pretend I am not jealous and say...... Good for you! :)
